Vaishravana is the Guardian King of the North, one of the Four Heavenly Kings. In Tibetan Buddhism he is both a Dharma protector and a guardian of wealth. His armour, victory banner and lion mount distinguish this form from Yellow Jambhala.

The subject carries prayers for prosperity and stability in home and work, alongside the aspiration to safeguard resources and put them to wholesome use.

Armoured Vaishravana holds a victory banner and jewel-spitting mongoose while seated on a white snow lion. Clouds, mountains and vivid colour frame the figure; the martial dress and lion mount express his combined protective and wealth-guardian roles.
